Job Summary
This position is a member of the Planning & Execution Team in Anadarko’s DJ Basin Business Unit (Denver, CO). Candidate will be a Reservoir Engineer within a team environment working with engineers (drilling, completions and production), geologists, land, and regulatory professionals to evaluate and plan Anadarko-operated well development. In addition to preparing economic evaluations for future investments, candidate will also produce forecasts for capital investments and production performance, provide guidance to other departments regarding engineering and economic decisions, and identify future opportunities.

Minimum 2+ years relevant engineering experience is required
Solid understanding of reservoir engineering fundamentals. Must also have experience with using economic and statistical methods for decision-making purposes to support field development.
Experience in conventional and unconventional resources working for an oil and gas production company strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of Aries and/or PEEP, MS Access, Rose, and SpotFire is a plus.
Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with and lead multi-disciplinary teams.


Reservoir Development: optimize reservoir development in accordance with well spacing recommendations and investment decision metrics to ensure efficient and effective use of capital.
Execution Planning: provide production forecasts for facility design and sizing; assess economic life of existing wells in development area; provide economic support for potential acquisitions; generate AFEs for approved projects, and work with scheduling team to enable rig and frac activity.
Technical Presentations, Lookbacks & Reviews: prepare and share periodic insights with team members and management regarding present and future investments via technical presentations, professional writing, and other effective communication channels.
Internal Collaboration: collaborate with internal departments (i.e., Reservoir Characterization, Reserves, Financial Planning, etc.) on special projects; provide technical support for field-wide analysis or area-specific assessments; and other duties as assigned.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering required, degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred.
This position may be eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%

Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 9/80 work schedule.
