Anadarko is seeking a Reservoir Engineer for the Delaware Basin Subsurface & Technology Team based in Midland, TX. The candidate will work in a team environment with engineers (drilling, completions and production), geologists, geophysicists, Mineral Land, and Regulatory to evaluate, recommend and coordinate business development activities. The candidate will collaborate with Planning Groups, Midstream Facilities, Data Analytics and Operations support groups to optimize asset value.
2 years of engineering experience required, with reservoir engineering experience strongly preferred
Solid understanding of reservoir engineering fundamentals and the ability to perform statistical studies and analyze analogue data to support scoping field development evaluations
Experience in unconventional or shale reservoirs
Working knowledge PEEP, Enersight, Spotfire, Harmony, and Aries preferred
Candidate should have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with, technical peers and management
Relied upon by management to work across the organization to coordinate or lead evaluation projects.
Is action oriented, enthusiastically approaches assignments and sets a positive tone for the team.
Ensures that APC applies the latest industry thinking to evaluate, understand and address challenges associated with asset valuations, evaluation and upside potential.
Maintains a positive attitude within the team and reinforces the importance of the teams work.
Works internally to collaborate, advise and mentor on issues associated with asset valuations, evaluation procedures and investment recommendations.
Helps others sell project and/or ideas by being an advocate.
Creates models to undertake asset valuations and commercial evaluations.
Identifies new correlations and/or interpretations for valuation analyses, assessing alternative processes to review data and obtain parameters for optimal investment decision making.
Quantifies valuation uncertainties in the context of other ambiguities using appropriate ranges of decision and risk analysis.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge in primary discipline with a comprehensive understanding of other discipline applications, including geologic structure and risk, drilling and completion methods, economic analysis, and corporate finance.
Demonstrated ability to provide major influence within primary discipline and on multi-disciplinary projects.
Permian Basin geographic exposure and expertise.
Develops tactical objectives for projects, based on in-depth knowledge of primary discipline and the application within the business.
An active team member supporting other team responsibilities – monitoring, screening and educating – as well as inter-department evaluation projects
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required, with Petroleum Engineering being preferred.
This position may be eligible for domestic relocation
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 – 10%
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
