Our Client: 

Our client is a dynamic, fast-paced, well-funded private oil and gas company, whose focus is on unconventional assets in British Columbia's Montney play.

 

Reporting Structure:

This position reports to Vice President of Engineering.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities: 

Work closely with the Engineering, Geology & Operations teams. The position's p rimary function will be to develop reservoir management plans by using reservoir simulation models to optimize the company's full development plan.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Reservoir evaluations trend to well production history and completion results.
  • Provide input into the reserves assessment.
  • Coordinate technical data gathering, analysis and interpretation of reservoir parameters / reservoir rock properties.
  • Perform core and fluid dynamic analysis.
  • Coordinate appropriate laboratory / field testing programs and provide reservoir parameters for modeling, analysis and interpretation
  • Pressure Transient Analysis.
  • Review and suggest down spacing & pilot programs.
  • Recommend near term optimization and long term development strategies to maximize value.
  • Creation of type curves utilizing all data to maximize well recovery.
  • Assist in determining geomodeling strategies and assumptions for incorporation into the asset depletion plan.

Skills/Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented.
  • P.Eng. with Senior Reservoir Engineering experience in the Montney Play.
  • Proven Liquid Rich Montney Play experience.
  • Strong background in reservoir modeling.
  • GeoScout experience is an asset.
