JOB TITLE: Reservoir Engineer - Contract
POSITION LOCATION: Calgary, AB
OPERATING AREA: NE BC
Our client is a dynamic, fast-paced, well-funded private oil and gas company, whose focus is on unconventional assets in British Columbia's Montney play.
This position reports to Vice President of Engineering.
Work closely with the Engineering, Geology & Operations teams. The position's p rimary function will be to develop reservoir management plans by using reservoir simulation models to optimize the company's full development plan.
Other responsibilities include:
Reservoir evaluations trend to well production history and completion results.
Provide input into the reserves assessment.
Coordinate technical data gathering, analysis and interpretation of reservoir parameters / reservoir rock properties.
Perform core and fluid dynamic analysis.
Coordinate appropriate laboratory / field testing programs and provide reservoir parameters for modeling, analysis and interpretation
Pressure Transient Analysis.
Review and suggest down spacing & pilot programs.
Recommend near term optimization and long term development strategies to maximize value.
Creation of type curves utilizing all data to maximize well recovery.
Assist in determining geomodeling strategies and assumptions for incorporation into the asset depletion plan.
15+ years of relevant experience.
Analytical and detail-oriented.
P.Eng. with Senior Reservoir Engineering experience in the Montney Play.
Proven Liquid Rich Montney Play experience.
Strong background in reservoir modeling.
GeoScout experience is an asset.
