Job Description -
- Assist Business Development Manager and VP of Engineering in coordinating acquisition evaluation efforts, focused on the reservoir
engineering evaluation component
- Perform independent and consistent engineering analysis of acquisition candidates, including determination of reserves by category, capital and operating cost estimates, midstream alternatives and economic sensitivities analyses
- Build engineering databases from the ground up (picking locations, building defensible type curves, looking at recent offset activity, etc.)
- Assist group in incorporating this information into a financial model
- Prepare and present materials and reports for management and the board of directors
- Assist management and asset team in transition and execution of successfully acquired acquisition opportunities
- Assist in looking for additional acquisition opportunities; screen opportunities and recommend properties for acquisition; work with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and evaluate unsolicited acquisition opportunities strategic to our existing assets
- Work on complex projects on a team or independent basis
- Manage special projects as assigned
Candidate Requirements -
- Experience working with Aries for Windows
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of geological, geophysical, and economic concepts
- Strong time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of staff and management
- Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in a professional and discretionary manner
- Works with purpose and a sense of urgency, deadline focused, and commitment driven
