Our client, a successful well-funded. growing and stable oil and gas operating company is seeking an experienced reservoir engineer with 6-10 years experience developing onshore Permian and or Mid Continent U.S. onshore oil resource play development. Company has a successful track record of acquiring both proved and unproved acreage and developing safely and profitably due to their excellent team of experienced and energetic technical, safety and financial professionals.
We've worked with and placed several professionals with this firm over the past few years and all have been very happy with the move and remain today. Located in Houston, the company has acquired acreage in the Permian and is aggressively deploying capital ( >500MM in 2019) in drilling/completing wells and building facilities to grow their production base. The company culture is led by oil and gas technical professionals, yet has the energy/feel of an IT startup in that they work intensely, but also play/celebrate successes together and are mindful of keeping a solid work/life balance. The company is very competitive in base, bonus and in the past been very generous upon any liquidity events in not only compensation, but in retention (kept core staff, reloaded with 6X more capital and have successfully acquired their current acquisition).
The reservoir engineer will work in a small team to work cross-functionally with geology, drilling, completions, regulatory and accounting/finance to develop their asset base. The reservoir engineer will help prepare development plans for acquired properties, assist with annual reserve report, cash flow and capital budgeting, and assist as needed with evaluation of potential property acquisitions.

6-10 years as reservoir engineer with U.S. onshore operating oil and gas company
Experience in field development with onshore unconventional oil basin/plays preferably in the Permian Basin
