Position Summary: As a developing professional under moderate oversight, this position is responsible for reservoir engineering assignments of limited scope and complexity. Primary duties include oil and gas reserve estimates, type curve generation, future production schedules, reservoir development planning and economic evaluation as a key member of a multi-disciplined asset development team. Usually requires at least one year relevant experience plus a B.S. Degree in Engineering.Responsibilities: Perform basic reservoir engineering to estimate oil and gas reserves / resources, forecast production, evaluate recovery efficiency, identify remedial work-over candidates as well as technical data acquisition and analysis.Create reservoir development plans and support active drilling programs in the current regulatory environment.Conduct competitor analysis to benchmark performance and identify opportunities.Provide support for oil and gas regulatory hearings as needed.Assist with valuation of potential acquisition, merger and divestiture opportunities.Participate in continuing education classes relating to oil and gas reservoirs as a means of advancing current knowledge base and understanding industry best practices.Update well performance and assist with quarterly reserve preparation and planning.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge & Skills: Strong comprehension of petroleum reservoir engineering fundamentals.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Motivated, organized, curious, and collaborative personality.Ability to work on multiple projects and deliver fit-for-purpose results in a deadline driven environment.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with particular emphasis on Excel and Access applications.Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Landmark Aries economic evaluation package.Demonstrated knowledge of safe work behavior and habits.Beginner to intermediate proficiency with IHS Enerdeq data system, Powertools economic evaluation application, Fekete engineering applications, and Petra geologic mapping applications.Beginner to intermediate proficiency with TIBCO Spotfire analytical software.Education: Minimum of B. S. degree in Engineering; functional emphasis in Petroleum Engineering is preferred, but Chemical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience is acceptable.Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience within the petroleum industry is required including consideration for internships.Job Type: Full-time
