To stay ahead of such changes, we continually seek exceptional people who will ensure data & information management excellence is maintained and innovation delivered where possible in the Consulting and Services we provide.Who we’re looking for: Our Oil & Gas client is working on building sustainable global, centralized databases for their high value acquired data (RFT, Relative permeability data, pressure gradient etc.). Dataset priorities throughout the year will be decided in an agile, value-driven manner by managers.This work will result in the safe storage of these high value data assets and enable more advanced computer science techniques to be used to better understand our client’s reservoirs and to save money in the future.Role Objectives: Upload key datatypes, (with agreed targets for delivery to be agreed by stakeholders when starting). It is the data mangers responsibility to ensure all these data are entered within the available timeMedium priority well data (e.g. partner wells, low priority regions, etc.) will be a stretch target.QC and check the uploaded data by working with Senior stakeholders to ensure the data is as expected and fully accessible to the team in the expected format;Provide notes on any specific technical aspects or work-arounds required to enter the information into the new database to help inform future database design;Provide brief summaries of progress each week and plans for the following week to team leadResponsible for understanding quality control (QC) practices and ensure data loaded is compliance within agreed qualitySkills required: Degree qualified, preferably in one of the Subsurface/Geoscience disciplines, and/or significant equivalent experience.Deep understanding of oil field well data from Mud logging, Wireline, LWD, MWD, Geomechanics, Formation Pressure Evaluation, Well Testing, etc.Strong knowledge of operations geologyExperience in promoting standards and best practice within data managementExperience in key technologies: Petrel and Petrel Studio, Techlog & RECALLJob Types: Full-time, ContractLocation:Houston, TX (Required)Work authorization:United States (Required)
