JOB TITLE: Reservoir Characterization Manager

LOCATION: Dallas, Texas

DUTIES: Provide reservoir engineering and simulation analysis for Hunt Oil Company assets with collaboration of the integrated subsurface specialist team in support of asset development and investment decisions. Calculate and report reserves. Estimate additional resources. Coordinate annual Bondholder and Lenders report with reserves auditor and Peru asset team. Provide technical input for and coordinate integration of the modeling and simulation results in D&M;’s annual certification process. Support Corporate Development and Exploration opportunity screening efforts for Peru and other areas with reservoir engineering, simulation, economics and reservoir characterization work. Provide direct reservoir engineering and subsurface characterization support to the Peru asset. Provide economic analysis and technical support for capital investments. Support business planning with production and reserves forecasts. Participate in technical meetings with the operator to collaborate on field development options, production optimization decisions and efficient capital investments. Coordinate technical information requests and delivery to many Peru asset stakeholders. Coordinate & Integrate projects and workflows within a specialized reservoir characterization group utilizing digital modeling tools to improve the ability to predict performance of Hunt Oil Company assets. Provide reservoir characterization and modeling to support and consultancy for unconventional reservoir modeling. Provide analysis, advice & support to improve Hunt’s technical software. Provide advisory level mentoring and peer review to the technical workforce. Participate in the technical community integration process through technical forum committee. Manage technical professionals group to accomplish the tasks of an integrated Reservoir Characterization team (Petrophysicists, Static geological modeling and Reservoir simulation).

REQUIREMENTS: Master's or foreign equivalent degree in Petroleum Engineering and 8 years of experience in reservoir and production engineering and oil and gas reservoir management. Experience therein to include: 5 years with reservoir characterization studies coordination and integration; 5 years with 3D Earth-Modelling and simulation with Petrel and Eclipse workflows, 3 years with composition phase behavior studies with PVT-Pro; 3 years with Petroleum Experts programs (including MBAL, GAP, Prosper, and Resolve) to perform material balance studies and model, inflow potential, tubing and surface facilities; 4 years with large field development conceptual planning including production and capital forecasting; 2 years supporting exploration activities; 2 years with well testing design and pressure transient analysis; 1 year with OFM based production database compilation, analysis and integration; 2 years with stochastic economics with decision tree analysis using Crystal Ball with foreign economic and tax regimes with risk and uncertainty analysis. Also requires 4 years of experience working in an international environment and interaction with overseas companies for business and engineering aspects.
