StavangerOn behalf of a client we are seeking a Reservior Geologist for Fenja who will be responsible for performing reservoir geology studies work in relation to development and reservoir characterisation activities, geological modelling and well planning. The position requires a good understanding of static modelling and prepare alternative interpretations for the reservoir engineer’s dynamic analysis.
Masters or similar qualification in Geoscience
Master degree or equivalent in geology/petroleum engineering.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience from the Oil & Gas industry, and knowledge of the E&P; business.
Proficient in using reservoir modelling software, preferably Petrel
Hands-on experience in drilling complex wells
Proven track record or driving business opportunities forward towards sanction
The position holder has to provide extensive geological expertise in all geological aspects of the work to support the development project within a multi-disciplinary team.
He/she will be a key player in the team recommending value adding opportunities for development wells and provide the necessary static input and take responsibility of identify and communicate geological uncertainties.
Strong geological skills.
Strong skills and experience in field development projects
Experience in operated ventures
Team player, with ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment and to integrate the other subsurface
Disciplines into a project.
Ability to effectively present and discuss results and issues, and to provide the technical base of decisions.
Fluent in English (oral and written) and preferably Norwegian language skills
Lead static modelling activities and ensuring seamless workflows with the geophysicist and reservoir engineer
Work together with the Driling & Wells team in planning and executing the targets
Own the static data acquisition plan for the fields in question and provide input to the data aquisition plan
Present work to the partnership on a frequent basis
Representing Neptune in committees for the Fenja license
Support team members so that they achieve to their abilities, consistent with the goals and objectives
Contribute to quality control of subsurface studies when needed.
The reservoir geologist will work in the Fenja subsurface team containing 8-10 people. This team is responsible for the well planning activities up to drilling operation starting around February-March 2020.
