We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Reserves Specialist within our Office of Reserves organization based in Houston, Texas.

If your interests lie in Reserves reporting and documentation through managing and manipulating large data bases while using a variety of commercial software then you will find that this will provide the right candidate with a professionally fulfilling experience.

Responsibilities include:

Develops, maintains and provides computer support for the team as well as various computer programs/databases utilized to gather, store and manipulate various sources.Gathers, compiles, organizes and performs analysis of data utilized in planning, design, analysis, benchmarking and performance evaluations.Develops and maintains standards and recommended practices within the Reserves and Reservoir, Cost Modeling, and Field Development Plans that provide consistency in process, methodology and documentation.Aid in development of automation/simplification of reserves evaluation and documentation practices.Provide training, best practices sharing, engineering assistance via peer assists/reviews, consulting, informal collaboration, guidance and mentoring.

Required Qualifications:

Five years of E&P oilfield operations experienceStrong systems/software aptitude, including proficiency with MS Excel & Access, Spotfire, etc.Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervisionCreative thinker with a desire to challenge the status quo and conventional thinking with the ability to implement new ideas, processes and technologiesStrong analytical and problem solving capabilities with the ability to make technically and economically sound recommendations with incomplete information and tight deadlinesExcellent time management skills with ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently and meet tight deadlinesMust be a team player with strong interpersonal skills with experience working in a multi-discipline team environmentStrong communication skills with ability to effectively share information to mentor/develop others

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Associate Degree in a technical discipline or relevant field of studyExperience with SEC and PRMSStrong systems/software aptitude, including proficiency with OFM, PEEP, Aclaro software/petroLook Reserves etc.Knowledge of Oxy systems (ODS, TOW, LOWIS, OneOxy, etc)
