Job Description:
The Reserves Manager is an important member of a multi-disciplinary technical team working to identify and develop value in terms of
reserves and cash flow for the company.  The engineer will be expected to update the company's reserve report on a regular basis and be able to present
the company's reserve outlook to internal and external parties.  The reserves manager will also be asked to provide valuations for acquisition prospects
and drilling programs.  The candidate must have a strong fundamental knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts, as well as the ability to communicate
effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reserve booking approaches and execution; maintenance of company reserve report in ARIES or PHDWin
- Regular documentation of current reserves outlook to third-party auditors, financial institutions and other external parties
- Assist team in acquisition and divestment economics; quickly understand a potential asset purchase through virtual and physical data rooms
- Generation of economic well prospects on existing company acreage; ability to calculate single-well economics and key sensitivities
- Provide production forecasts for business planning purposes; run economic look-backs on previous projects
- Perform integrated reservoir studies; interpret and evaluate data from different disciplines
- Remain current on industry trends and update management on new technologies and opportunities to add value
Candidate Requirements:
- Proficiency in economic modeling (ARIES or PHDWin)
- Demonstrated skill set of fundamental reservoir engineering concepts
- Proficiency in reserves estimation, including decline curve analysis, volumetrics, material balance, and analytical/statistical approaches
- Strong software skills for MS Office and public data mining (IHS or DrillingInfo)
- Exposure to conventional and unconventional reservoirs
- Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions based on technical analysis
- Strong time management skills and ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering or similar field of study
- Minimum of 8 years in the field of reservoir engineering
