Job Summary

This position will supervise the reserves administration function of the Corporate Reserves Group and will be located at Anadarko’s corporate office in The Woodlands, Texas.

Qualifications

A minimum of 7 years of experience forecasting oil and gas reserves and associated cash-flows in a variety of fiscal environments (i.e., deep-water, international, U.S. onshore) using software such as Aries or Peep required
Familiar with reserves management systems such as petroLook
Advanced knowledge of reserves reconciliation workflows
Advanced knowledge of SEC regulations for oil and gas reporting
Proactive attitude and thought process
Analytical and detail oriented; have a concern for accuracy
Capable of working, leading and speaking in a team environment
Possess servant leadership qualities and require minimal supervision
Ability to work after normal business hours during periods of increased activity

Responsibilities

Administer the Company’s reserves and resources systems to ensure a high degree of accuracy and regulatory compliance
Supervise and develop staff of varying experience levels and backgrounds
Proactively recommend reserves reconciliation workflow improvements
Interface with numerous other departments throughout the Company to generate high-quality reserves related disclosures under tight deadlines
Effectively administer and communicate SEC, FASB and Corporate guidance for oil and gas reporting
Oversee new projects to link and automate various reserves-related systems and processes
Conduct reserves related training in classroom environment
Retrieve, analyze and utilize data from numerous systems and databases
Prepare data presentations using various electronic tools including Excel spreadsheets, Excel graphs, Word documents, PowerPoint slide shows and Access Databases
Perform special projects as needed

Education

Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field is required

This position may be eligible for relocation

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 5-15%

Work Schedule

This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
