Execute quantitative interpretation studies, such as amplitude studies, forward modeling, seismic inversion projects, 3D visualization and reservoir monitoring projects, thereby implement a best-practice workflow. Besides, the successful candidate will be coaching and motivating colleagues and contribute to a team spirit that is characterized by performance, co-operation, support, openness, and respect. Promote technical and operational excellence and lateral learning that develop the reputation of the reservoir geophysics team of our company, which build and maintain an excellent dialogue and working relation with customers in the exploration and development assets, and proactively inventories their needs and ways in which the team can contribute to the solution of key business challenges of our clients.
The major challenge for the QI team is to take advantage of both the ordinary and advanced 2D & 3D seismic data acquisition and processing technology to carry out true state-of-the-art quantitative seismic interpretation. We have integrated projects with contributions from seismic processing, reservoir geophysics and reservoir geology. The QI Geophysicist will enhance the profile of the reservoir geophysics team, be fully committed to the principles of technical and operational excellence and continuously develop own skills and knowledge in the field of geophysics, reservoir geology, petrophysics and reservoir engineering.
The successful candidate will be committed toward integrating hois results with other staff members in the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
The candidate must have an academic degree, BS at least, in geophysics, physics, or a related science. MS or PhD degree would be preferable, besides, the candidate must have the following:
2-6 years of experience in Quantitative interpretation & geological and/or petrophysical expertise will be considered a real advantage for this job. Solid understanding of seismic processing, hands-on experience is an advantage.
Hands-on experience with geophysical reservoir-monitoring techniques is would be an advantage, with ability to think interpretatively.
Team-player with customer interaction skills.
A good E & P business understanding is essential.
Effective interpersonal and Communication skills.
