Responsible for the initiation of core analysis projects and coordination of the projects through the lifecycle of the analytical program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use knowledge and skills acquired to manage complex analytical programs
Support training and development of Associate Project Managers as needed
Assist with project management initiatives and process improvements as required
Advise clients of applicable analytical services and assist in outlining a project plan to meet the client’s analysis objectives
Document and disseminate the analytical procedures via Weatherford’s internal lifecycle management program, CoreTrac.
Act as the primary liaison for client correspondence and an internal contact for guidance and information.
Ensure coordination of analytical procedures and facilitate project execution across all US laboratory departments and other Weatherford Integrated Laboratory facilities across the Americas.
Monitor project task progression and ensure timely data completion with assistance of Project Coordinator
Develop and maintain project schedules and other updates with assistance of Project Coordinators
Facilitate client efforts and requests as necessary
Finalize projects via completion of technical final project reports and other documentation
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail
Highly level of organization and capability of handling multiple ongoing activities
Aptitude to learn technical intricacies of business as required
Intermediate level capability of Microsoft Office software programs including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project. Also, capability to learn our internal project management software, CoreTrac.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Work closely and effectively with fellow employees
5+ years of project management experience in the core analysis side of the oil and gas industry or equivalent experience or education.
Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Aptitude to learn technical intricacies of our business as required
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
A bachelor’s degree in a science field, preferably in Geology, and have the ability to learn laboratory testing and requirements for areas such as well site core handling, core stabilization and preservation, core sub-sampling, routine property analysis, petrographic analysis, rock mechanics testing, special core analysis, shale rock property analysis, and geochemical analysis.
