Joining a regional team and reporting to the Regional Manager, the successful candidate will provide geological and/or geophysical interpretations, specifically related to Sedimentology and Mineralogy, research and training for oil and gas companies related to exploration, working within a team.
Working with a regional team and reporting to the Senior Project Supervisor, the successful candidate will undertake geological studies at various scales ranging from regional to block and field scale. The role will include the integration of disparate geological and geophysical data sources to provide seismic interpretations and petroleum geological insights.
The candidate must be able to contribute to projects using a range of techniques and processes relating to the areas of seismic interpretation but also have an understanding of all Petroleum Geoscience disciplines to enable integration of all datasets and preparation of professional reports.
The incumbent will undertake loading of 2D/3D seismic data, creation of synthetic seismograms, horizon and sequence stratigraphic interpretations and attribute analysis. These will need to be put in there regional geological context. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc level or above in Geology, Geophysics or The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum BSc level in Geology or Geoscience and ideally have a Masters (or above) in a Geoscience subject. Experience of writing technical reports is essential and the successful candidate will be fluent in English.
You will have excellent Microsoft office skills and experience in an oil consultancy would be desirable.
