In Shell, we have been providing pioneering technologies and expertise in the energy industry and creating value for the community of which we have long proudly been a part.Job Description:Purpose:The Production Technologist Operations will sit in the Well Delivery team and will be responsible for the maturation of the completion and hydraulic fracturing elements of the well proposal, including delivery of that proposal. The Production Technologist Operations with also have a link with the Technology Pilot team, which will be the centre of excellence in hydraulic fracturing in Oman.  Accountabilities:Member of the Well Delivery team that implements a state of the art Well Delivery Process and implement opportunities for lean and continuous improvements of the delivery of wells.Specific responsibilities are in the delivery and maturation of the well completions, with a specific focus on hydraulic fraccing delivery, well clean-up and well testing.Connect with the Technology Pilot Team, as the centre of excellence for hydraulic fracturing modelling, design and executions for Shell in Oman to implement their learnings Connect with the Well Engineering team, on the designs and implementation of completions/hydraulic frac designs, including attending the daily operational meetings  Attend field operations of frac jobs, provide on-site analysis of data-fracs and co-design main frac programs. Provide on-job guidance, in consultation with other (more experienced) Production Technologists and participate in after-action reviews to enable further learning and improvement. Role model in a safety culture of Goal Zero and ensure safety and integrity are forefront in the execution of fraccing operations.Ensure all data and information obtained from the wells is documented and stored compliant with the corporate guidelines. Ensure that knowledge, data and information is timely and efficiently shared between the Subsurface Development Team, the Pilot Maturation Team and the Exploration Team.Participate in reviews and assist where appropriate.Job Requirements:Skills & Requirements:Minimum Bachelors Degree and preference for MSc University Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.Minimum 4 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry in Production Technology Experience as Operational Production Technologist, including well interventions and completions.Experience with the application of hydraulic fracturing technology, fracture design and fracture modelling. Broad knowledge of all subsurface disciplines, upstream facilities, well delivery and production operations is desirable.Experience with tight gas and/or unconventional developments will be an advantage.A record of active involvement in internal and external technology networks is an advantage.Strong team player with corresponding inter-personal skills.Effective communicator and influencerHigh degree of achievement drive and initiative.Visibly demonstrate personal and company HSE commitment and drive towards technical excellence. Disclaimer: Please note: We occasionally amend or withdraw Shell jobs and reserve the right to do so at any time, including prior to the advertised closing date.Before applying, you are advised to read our data protection policy.
