The Land asset is an important contributor to the Dutch energy system and important in the energy transition.
The asset and Nederlandse Aardgas Maatschappij (NAM) as a whole have a set of tough challenges to take on. The team operates in a complex political field with many stakeholders. The Land asset is diverse asset with new and very mature gas fields, water flooded oil field and steam flooded heavy oil field, some parts are fully automated field. There is an autonomous culture where there is ample room for innovation. In fact the very reason we need you is to bring the changes we still need.

The Well Reservoir & Facility Management (WRFM) Production Technologist (PT) is part of one of the production units in the Land Asset. The role includes delivering surveillance, opportunity identification, opportunity maturation and execution of WRFM activities in one of the four Production Units as well as provide Production Technology input to new developments in that area together with the integrated team with multiple disciplines.

What is the role about?
The purpose of the multi-disciplinary WRFM & Development team is to maximize the value from existing assets, drive top quartile WRFM performance and mature further development opportunities that will result in additional production, increased reserves and increased efficiency and effectiveness through a focused delivery program. WRFM is a cornerstone of the Land asset strategy and currently delivers in excess 20% of annual production capacity. The role will provide the opportunity to work in a very dynamic environment with lots of activities and provides ample development opportunity in both the technical and leadership domain.

Specific areas of accountability include:
All production system surveillance, including real-time monitoring of the group of wells under responsibility, as well as the planning and interpretation of all well surveillance activitiesOpportunity identification and lead the maturation of the WRFM well interventions under your responsibility through the standardized maturation process, supported by the senior PT in the team when required.Well integrity management for all wells in the production system(s) under responsibility, including carrying out risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measuresContribute to the definition and execution of the long term system and Production Unit (PU) WRFM strategy, incl. development of gas well deliquification plansLead and coordinate the execution of the WRFM practice table (Daily Production Reviews, Production System Optimizations, Annual Field Performance Review including detailed reviews of Wells and Reservoirs), supported by the senior PT in the team when required.Work harmoniously with key interfaces involved with Petroleum Engineering, Production Operations, Integrated Activity Planning, Production Programming, Well Services, Process Engineering and MaintenanceProvide Production Technology support as required to several ongoing new development opportunities.Delivery of business improvement initiatives in order to drive the team towards world-class WRFM performance.

What do we need from you?

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or a Physical Science5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of Well and Reservoir Management, Well Integrity Management as well asKnowledge of Inflow / Outflow Modeling and Inflow/Outflow Enhancement
