Production Technologist to interface with and coordinate between Reservoir, Well and Surface Engineering as well as Production Operations. Involved throughout the complete lifecycle of wells and fields and instrumental in optimizing well and reservoir performance.Monitor, analyse and report on well inflow and outflow performance. Review existing surveillance data and plan and recommend additional data acquisition (as required).Investigate and propose remedial actions for well performance issues such as scale/wax/paraffin/ asphalt.Selection and design of appropriate artificial lift methods. Optimisation and troubleshooting of artificial lift in existing wells.For each well architecture/design and sensitivity analyses, prepare and provide the required vertical flow performance tables (Pipesim/Prosper) for use in the reservoir simulatorProvide support to reservoir engineers for simulation and well testing.Develop short term forecasts -from analytical methods (such as MBAL)- of well productivity based.Development of production system models and well operating envelopesContribute to completion architecture and designs (in cooperation with well-engineering department) for future wells.Troubleshooting of completion problems and identification / design of remedial actions.Contribute to selection of appropriate materials given the sour fluid composition (metallurgy, elastomers etc.).Definition of well intervention requirements and techniques.Definition and design of well stimulation methods.In collaboration with the well engineering department and where appropriate, supervision of service contracts related to well interventions and stimulationIdentify fit for purpose and cost-effective new technology and potential applications and drive implementation.Build and maintain industry wide networks to enhance knowledgeParticipate in and contribute to technical studies and provide production technology related contribution, as required.B.Sc. Degree in Petroleum Production Engineering or equivalent.
