Perth WAContractThe Role:
The Production Technologist's purpose is to ensure that the delivery of hydrocarbons from the reservoir to the inlet point of the process facilities is technically and economically optimal over the complete life cycle of the wells and field.
This is an integrating role, liaising with internal stakeholders and having accountability for well integrity, well performance, production surveillance and production system optimisation.
Critical interfaces are with the Completions, Flow Assurance and Operations functional groups.
This 12 month contract role is a project position, with the potential to carry through to the operations phase, taking responsibility for surveillance, integrity, optimisation and management of the development wells.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities will include but note be limited to:
Accountable for the Well, Reservoir and Facility Management (WRFM) Plan, including well / subsea production system modelling (inflow / outflow performance) and optimisation (performance improvement / stimulation)
Accountable for the Well Integrity Management Systems (WIMS), including definition of the well operating envelopes and an integrity monitoring program, defining well barrier management requirements
Deliver an integrated system Well Annulus Management Plan, with support from Wells / Completions, Flow Assurance, Subsea and Operations
Deliver plan for well clean-up / unloading / initial start-up and planning of sampling / testing activities to support reservoir management, system metering, and integrity / condition monitoring programs
Consolidate well functional definition for input into subsea hardware and controls specifications
Define well management requirements and input into the production system operating, surveillance and maintenance procedures in compliance with relevant government legislation, regulations
Deliver well production manuals and procedures for the infield production system, including the practical interactions with the subsea production system and topsides facilities
Deliver well ramp-up plan prior to initial start-up and lead offshore well commissioning / start-up activities before handing wells over to the asset
Develop training material for well operations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Process, Petroleum, Reservoir Engineering Degree or a comparable discipline degree
Experience in Major Capital projects & Oil & Gas industry experience in a similar role
Initial start-up / production / operating experience with subsea wells
Good knowledge of Subsurface, Completions, Subsea, Flow Assurance and upstream processing facilities to understand impacts downstream of the wells
Practical understanding of materials selection, fluids and production chemistry to work effectively with the well / subsea engineering teams
Exposure to Operations Assurance & Operations Readiness
Experience with high rate, high temperature gas / condensate subsea systems
Able to step up to a supervisory level capacity when required
