Total E&P Barnett USA, LLC based in Fort Worth, TX is currently looking for a Production Technician/Engineer to join field operations on the Barnett Shale.
Perform production, reserves, and related data analysis tasks in support of the characterizing and understanding the unconventional play assets of the Affiliate.
Increase the efficiency of the Engineering & Operations department team by managing data collection and loading for production and reserves analysis.
Collect, analyze and publish key operational statistics for the Affiliate’s unconventional assets.
Utilize Aries and other engineering tools to perform production decline-curve analysis and other calculations on key wells.
Track the status of drilling and unit creation within the unconventional assets to assess and forecast acreage utilization and asset development.
Generate daily/weekly reports on drilling and completion activity and production levels, relative to budget, for each unconventional play asset
Build new projects in various applications as necessary, performing data loading and QC as well as transfer of data between applications.
Participate in other analytical process by performing assigned tasks using tools like ArcGIS and Excel to answer questions and uncover relationships contained within the data resources of the Affiliate.
Contribute to the improvement of Total’s investments by continually searching for new methods or tools which will permit the optimization of the development of reservoirs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related technical field; or a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field that exposes the student to principles of mathematics and mapping.
- 5+ years of industry experience providing technical support to engineers.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
