Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Production Reservoir Engineer based in the Long Beach, California area.

 

Position: Production Reservoir Engineer
Experience: 3+ Years
Employment Type: Full Time Salaried Employee
Location: Long Beach, CA, US
Status: Active 

Main Responsibilities

·        Well Surveillance and Optimization

    • Monitor and evaluate all active wells in assigned areas
      • Recommend, plan and coordinate implementation of mechanical changes such as pumping speed, pump size, pump depth, type of pumping, etc.
      • Review producing well production gauges and fluid levels
      • Review injection well profile surveys
    • Recommend, plan and coordinate implementation of well stimulations
    • Monthly review of all wells for operating/production abnormalities
  • Reservoir Performance Monitoring and Optimization in assigned areas
    • Identify production and/or injection changes
    • Develop action plans for production enhancement
    • Develop workover and recompletion targets
    • Develop drilling targets to optimize production in the field
  • Workovers
    • Assist in the planning and design of workovers
    • Write workover programs
    • Monitor workover operations and assist rig supervisors with optimizing
  • Drilling
    • Develop drilling targets to optimize production in the field
    • Assist in the planning and design of wells
  • Research New Equipment and Technology
  • Special Projects as Assigned such as Vendor Cost Analysis and Contract Bidding

·        Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.

 

Requirements

·        3 years of related experience

·        B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical)

·        Experience and proficient with MS Office Suite
