Based in Adelaide, this role will be responsible for optimising base production, including monitoring and optimisation of artificially lifted wells. Artificial lift design, including project Authority For Expenditure (AFE’s) preparation to support the development and well repair / workover programs as required. Lead Integrated Field Reviews, to identify production optimisation opportunities (surface and downhole) for inclusion in annual capital work program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Prepare programmes and AFE's as required; including use of ProdView, XSPOC, and IPM software.
Monitor producing assets to optimise daily production, including artificial lift installations (Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP) & beam pump). Provide artificial lift designs to Well Construction Team for implementation of CAPEX programs (Development & In-wellbore Optimisation / workover projects).
Review, audit and QC daily well production allocation data of the select field in ProdView.
Monitor operating and capital project expenditure versus budget and identify cost saving initiatives to maximise asset value.
Conduct Integrated Field Reviews (gas and oil assets) to identify production enhancement opportunities to feed into the project seriatim. Recommend economic projects for inclusion in CAPEX budget or as budget substitution projects.
Provide technical support to Development / Engineering / Well Construction Teams and Field Operators (for example connections, artificial lift, completion & artificial lift design) to identify and solve surface and downhole issues and to improve production efficiency.
Keep up to date with emerging technology in Petroleum/Production Engineering and any other related fields. Where appropriate, develop, justify and implement the use of new and innovative technology.
Effectively implement the Operational Regulatory Compliance Assurance (ORCA) process to ensure ongoing operational regulatory compliance, as applicable to this position, is achieved.
We are looking for technically proficient individuals with considerable knowledge of artificial lift (beam pump, ESP, jet pump) selection, design and optimisation, and a strong track record of delivering business value in the capital and operational compliance arenas within the hydrocarbons industry.
Tertiary qualification in the relevant engineering discipline is required as a minimum.
A current Australian Driving licence is required for this role.
