Our client, a leading operator based in Aberdeen now have an immediate requirement for an experience production optimisation engineer to join their team on a contract basis. Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role to be considered for this position. Readily accepts accountability.Carries out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk.Technical/Functional Production Optimisation (Value sustainment)Daily well surveillance and optimisation of production and injection well stockIdentification and implementation of production improvement initiativesNodal analysis, well performance modelling and network optimisationGas lift optimisation and trouble shootingProduction well test analysis and validationPreparation of weekly Well Information Pack (well and reservoir management guidelines)Well allocation managementCalculation of Installed Production Capacity (IPC)Provide input to choke model & production loss reporting processFlow assurance of production and injection wells (including scale and sand management)Production Optimisation (Value creation/ enhancement)well B6 conversion to injection service (current water injection bottle neck) infill well program - provision of all production technology input (upper completion design, artificial lift design and sand face design)subsea interventions (intervention programming/design; injection well add perfs - up to 5 well campaign)Petroleum engineering support to subsurface / development teamPetroleum engineering support to EOR project support)Ad-hoc support for Business DevelopmentOperations support and holiday cover - a proportion of each Production Engineers time is required to support holiday cover for each assetContribute to preparation of technical and commercial justification for well interventions & workoversPrepare input for partners meetings and annual production reports (OGA etc.)Provide information for 3rd party studies and take part in sameOccasional offshore visits in support of project execution Qualifications requiredPreferably MSc or equivalent degree in either Petroleum Engineering / Reservoir Engineer or related subject achieving a minimum 2:1 or equivalent.Five years relevant experience in Oil/Gas IndustryKnowledge / Skills / Experience requiredSound theoretical petroleum engineering & production technology exposure.Familiarity with industry-standard Petroleum Engineering software methods including well performance modelling, reservoir simulation, and material balance amongst others.Familiarity with PVT analysis & interpretationFamiliarity with production chemistry issues associated with waterflood reservoirsFamiliarity with rock mechanical issues associated with production and injectionFamiliarity with cased hole logging principles and applicationFamiliarity with metering principles and applicationFamiliarity with well and plant optimisation strategiesExcellent presentation and report writing skillsEffective relationship builder at all levels, both internally & externally
