We are currently looking for an experienced, motivated, and creative individual to fill the position of Operations Engineer within our North Operations based in Bakersfield.
Operations Engineers are key members of each reservoir management team, providing the link from the subsurface to the surface. They use their experience and skills to enhance asset value through the optimization of individual well performance, participation in RMT collaboration activities, generation of capital/expense workover AFE’s and new well completions, optimization of artificial lift/stimulation practices. They also provide operations engineering support for secondary recovery performance.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Petroleum or related)
Minimum five years production and operations engineering experience
Ability to perform artificial lift system selection and design including rod pump, jet pump, ESP’s and gas lift
Demonstrated ability or capacity to identify, develop, plan and execute workovers and completions
Ability to perform post job economics and formulate recommendations for improving future operations
Knowledgeable in well stimulation practices including acid and fracture stimulation treatments
Fundamental knowledge in the use of MS Office products
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully work in a multi-discipline team environment
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
