Job profile summary:
The Production Forecasting Engineer will support the GoM/Canada Region’s Production Forecasting Lead in a short-term assignment of 12 months. This is a technical leadership role in the GoM Reservoir Development Performance Team. It is an influential position that maintains a holistic view of the GoM/Canada region’s production and injection performance. It is a fast-paced and exciting opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders across the region’s Res Dev and functional teams, and the Regional Leadership Team.

Key accountabilities:
Provide production/injection reporting and forecasting for the GoM/Canada region
Provide frequent production/injection updates and latest estimate judgements to the GoM/Canada region and in-depth insights to the Regional Leadership Team
Support Res Dev’s regional QPF (Quarterly Plan Freeze) process
Support in-region Production Actuals submission into SAP during QPF
Support M&T; efforts including streamlining the overall production data reporting flow, developing dashboards, and applying advanced analytics
Support in-region Production Forecasting Simplification M&T; effort

Essential education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science

Essential experience and job requirements:
At least 5 years of relevant experience in the energy industry with knowledge of production operations and facilities
Experience with production forecasting in a producing asset
Experience with preparing and submitting Business Planning Elements (BPEs) into current SAP system
Excellent data analysis and interrogation skills, including advanced-level use of Excel, PowerBI, Spotfire, and advanced analytics
Proven ability to manage demanding and changing workloads without impacting deadlines
Strong verbal communication skills to present ideas clearly and distinctly across all levels of BP, including regional leadership
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams including Reservoir Development, Operations, Wells, and Finance
