Reports To:
Chief Analytics Officer/Directors of Data Science/Analytics

Successful candidates will have experience with the following tasks in their current role and/or previous roles:
Performs analyses on wells to ensure efficient and optimal production performanceProvides consulting around artificial lift and production optimizationIdentifies workover needs and implements designs and oversees the execution of workover proceduresParticipates in LOE and production reviews and budget preparationCoordinates with other personnel, such as engineers, superintendents, foremen, well techs regarding production concerns
Provide subject matter expertise in artificial lift (including ESP, rod pump, plunger lift, and gas lift), operations, and real-time monitoring and issue troubleshooting/diagnosisAnalyze and Identify different failure reasons of the various types of artificial liftInteract with customers in a role of analytics subject matter expertAssist data science team in development of machine learning algorithms
Requirements for the Position:
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering fieldThe ideal candidate will have 2-8+ years of experience in production operations with an operator as a Field Production Engineer, Production Engineer, or Production Engineering ManagerExcellent verbal and written communication skills are necessaryWorking knowledge of production optimization concepts and applicationsMust be a self- starter and possess the ability to work independentlyAttention to detail with high level of accuracyMust be a team playerPractical knowledge unconventional/conventional resource playsPrevious field experience is requiredFully understand the artificial lift components, application and operational conditionsAbility to read, analyze, interpret and diagnose the artificial lift behavior through trending parameters, production values and equipment typesAbility to diagnose different performance and failure issues of the artificial lift process.Travel up to 50% of the timeMust have experience with an operatorMust have a data-driven personalityEntrepreneurial, self-motivated mindsetDemonstrated aptitude for learning new technologiesAbility to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical staff members
Additional preferred qualifications:
Experience operating and optimizing rod pump artificial lift systemsExperience in nodal analysis, decline curve analysis, pressure transient analysis and reserve estimationFamiliarity in the use of statistical packages in Python, R and/or MATLABExperience using machine learning algorithmsFamiliarity in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multi-variate analysis, and optimization algorithms
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screenCandidates must be able to work for any US employer without requiring sponsorship.
