Position Description

Primary purpose:
This position is responsible for providing Production Engineering support for the safe and efficient operation of the SACROC Field wells, field facilities and water injection stations.
The SACROC Field employs a multitude of processes which include over 20 manifolds, 10 water gathering stations, 4 water injection stations, and over 1,000 active injection and production wells. This position is for a Production Engineer in Snyder, Texas. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the SACROC Field facilities and wells.

Postion level is commensurate with experience and skill sets.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
Recognizes importance of safety, willing to lead and participate in promoting safe operations
Works with operations to resolve day-to-day issues.
Completes production engineering assignments of increasing scope and complexity.
Assists in assuring that producing properties operate at a maximum economic rate and comply with governmental, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Provide engineering support for operational and new construction projects.
Lead maintenance projects such as vessel inspections, tank inspections, ect…
Promote PSM elements in non-PSM facilities.
Help improve rotating equipment efficiencies.
Involvement in the design and operation capital projects (new manifolds, water gathering stations, etc.)
Receives training in various aspects of production engineering.
Applies standard techniques to provide recommendations for solutions to problems
Focuses on existing systems or processes
Performs conventional engineering assignments; may involve project design, material recommendations, etc.
Works with Operators, Technicians, Supervisors and other Engineers to complete projects
Works with moderate direction.
Demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills.

Position Requirements

Minimum requirements:
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical degree preferred.

Experience/specific knowledge:
1-3 years’ experience in the oil and gas and/or pipeline industry.

Physical demands:
Safety sensitive position
Must be able to work outside in varying weather conditions

Working conditions:
50/50 office and job site (outside) work locations
Working after hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed.

Supervisory responsibility:
Responsible for managing contractors on small projects.
Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and abilities:
Competency in use of Microsoft suite of products
Project planning, economic evaluation and financial tracking skills

Other responsibilities:
Special projects as required
