The Production Engineer, located in Evansville, IN will establish working relationships to accomplish optimal profitability within the CountryMark's Energy Resources division by actively participating in performance monitoring and analysis of all the E/R operating assets, providing production support and optimization activities.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement production enhancement opportunities as part of a multi-discipline area team
  • Monitors performance of existing production and provides recommendations for improvement and best optimization methods
  • Identify, plan, and implement expense and capital production enhancement projects (workovers, stimulations, waterfloods, new drills)
  • Works with integrative team members to prepare risked reserve estimates and economics for drilling prospects, workovers, well service jobs and new facility or expansion projects
  • Foster operation reviews involving production/completion and expense optimization of individual well performance
  • Utilize ARIES program to provide economic evaluations for projects and acquisitions including calculation of estimated reserves, costs and cash flow

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Performs field studies and build economic models to determine value for acquisitions or divestitures
  • Carry out budget preparation and monitoring; prepare cost analysis, estimates, and AFE's for routine workovers and completion/recompletion of wells
  • Liaise with production managers to champion capital project activities and regular well reviews

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in oil and gas operations
  • Desired Illinois Basin experience preferred

Miscellaneous Skills/Considerations/Requirements:

  • Proficiency in ARIES or other economic-related analysis programs
  • Knowledge of well design and completion operations, with capability to ensure safe, consistent and high performance operations
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork behaviors, ability to work in cross functional teams and influence partners
  • Must be able to accommodate travel(5%) and extended hours as possible
