ACCEL Energy Canada is a sustainability-focused energy company, which utilizes a synthesis of conventional systems and novel industrial processes to deliver increased carbon, waste and energy-efficiency in hydrocarbon extraction, refining and end-use. Reporting to the Vice President, Upstream, the Production Engineer, whom is based out of our Judy Creek office facility, provides engineering and technical leadership for the efficient and safe extraction of hydrocarbon deposits in a large carbonate reservoir under primary, secondary and enhanced oil recovery methods. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Developing and refining methods to enhance the extraction and transportation of oil and gasSelecting and maintaining various artificial lift equipmentWell and lift equipment failure analysesMonitoring and evaluating reservoir performance, providing proposals to rectify anomalous production and injection volumesPlanning and managing the execution, from conception to completion, of surface and subsurface well completion and intervention programs, compliant to all regulatory and company standardsLiaising with geoscientists and other engineering disciplines in the planning and implementation of production enhancement projects including but not limited to well reactivations and optimizations at both the wellbore and reservoir levelAdvising managerial and technical staff on prudent oil and gas field production operations, including preparing reports and presentationsSteward the annual operating budget for the assigned areasAdhere to business processes including but not limited to AFE guidelines, MOC process, material transfers, procurement, and invoicingPerform other technical duties or special projects as assignedQualifications & ExperienceEngineering degree from a recognized educational institution and eligible for professional membership with APEGAMinimum 7 years production engineering experience with strong knowledge base in oil production enhancement and sound knowledge in reservoir managementBroad knowledge of well completion and intervention work, including but not limited to design and installation of artificial lift equipment and well stimulationsWorking knowledge of safety standards and environmental regulations. * Skilled with MS Office, OFM, and Artificial Lift Design software. Experience with Mosaic or equivalent is a desiredThis position is based out of the Judy Creek Production Complex, located between Swan Hills and Whitecourt, Alberta.
