Aker Solutions Mechanical Assembly & Test department is based in Port Klang; Malaysia. The Company offers drilling technologies, engineering, mooring and loading systems, subsea technologies, surface products and well stream processing services. We are currently looking for 20 technicians from mechanical or electromechanical background who can strengthen our team and support our ambitious growth plans within the oil and gas subsea market.

Responsibilities and Tasks

To work in a safe manner at all times, to comply with health, safety and environment legislation and policy

To follow ISO and API requirement, project quality plans and procedures, complete all activities identified within the department work packs

To liaise with all supporting departments in order to obtain required support for the entire production

To lead new project launches related to production

To ensure assembly and test equipment in the workshop is available and in good condition

Ensure cell operates in full compliance with work procedures and standards; Aker Solutions’ HSE requirement, ISO 9001, 14000 and 18000

To plan and execute continual improvement programs related to safety, cost savings, productivity, quality and delivery

To provide supports to all technical aspects in accordance to procedures

To lead, implement and support all activities in accordance to department’s directions and company’s objectives and policies

To execute any other duties as assigned by the Management and inline with Aker Solutions's manufacturing system

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

Minimum a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment

Familiar with engineering drawings, schematic diagram and GDT

Flexible attitude towards work in high performance team and an eagerness to learn new skills

A team player with leadership skill, dynamic, self-driven, able to work independently and consistent

Good analytical skills and works execution

Sound knowledge of the English language both written and spoken

Familiar with codes applicable to pressure components (e.g. ASME, etc.)

Able to meet challenges in the industry

Good HSE mindset and good health condition

Practical knowledge of assembly and testing in the Oil & Gas industry is an advantage
