The Production Engineer will monitor, analyze, and oversee production operations for TEP Barnett USA, an affiliate of Total.Responsible for artificial lift equipment design and optimization, including plungers, gas-lift, chemical injection, capillary strings, pumping units. Scope also includes investigation of new methods of artificial lift for the BarnettResponsible for the optimization of the operating costs (LOE) by identifying key drivers for high LOE, assessing the economic performance of individual wells, defining a strategy to improve cost efficiency, implementing actions in the field and evaluating the resultsResponsible for production and operations for a dedicated area.Assist with operational projects that impact the entire asset.Work closely with other team members to ensure that the asset development activities (drilling, completions, construction) can progress on scheduleDefine production objectives with input from reservoir engineerMonitor and analyze actual production and variancesAnticipate/mitigate liquid loading of the wells by implementing gas well de-liquification methods,Trouble-shoot wells (bottom-hole surveys, build-up tests, CBL) and prepare workover procedures and AFEs to return wells to optimal production status (tubing/GLV repairs/modifications, casing repairs, gel/cement squeezes, etc), as well as plugging & abandonment of older uneconomic wellsCarry-out frequent and regular well reviews with the field personnel to optimize production and expensesTake into account the land requirements and ensure production stays within the lease termsAssist with the development of operational best practices and sharing lessons-learned with the other engineers, including group discussions, presentations, and technical reports.Qualification & Experience5+ years of related work experience in oil and gas production operations.Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering.Excellent written and verbal English communications skillsDemonstrated presentation abilitiesAble to quickly learn new software and company specific applicationsAble to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Production/Operations Engineering: 5 yearsEducation:Bachelor'sLocation:Fort Worth, TX 76103Required work authorization:United States
