Oversee the day-to-day production areas to ensure effective coordination of operational activities. Manage the total well life cycle from first sales to well retirement.
Monitor daily production and communicate production variances to the operations management team. Formulate & perform routine work-over recommendations to ensure optimum production performance.
Responsible for day to day well surveillance analysis and intervention. Work with the field personnel and the Business Unit regarding the total well life cycle.
Implement production processes for the Business Unit. Responsible for routine downhole well work recommendations and execution.
Perform cost efficiency studies to track LOE cost categories that make-up the LOE lifting cost.
Work with the Midstream group to identify, justify and execute surface projects.
Oversee production responsibilities and accountabilities to ensure effective and appropriate coordination of operational activities and resources.
Ensure all regulatory, environmental and safety compliance issues are met. Maintain and foster community relations and other related activities as appropriate.
Identify production optimization projects as related to down hole and facilities. Develop and/or research new techniques and approaches to enhance production rates and reduce operating costs. Quantify opportunities and economic justification of work-over, facilities, and artificial lift opportunities.
Forecast monthly and annual production and define variance analysis from Outlook/Budget. Work with team members on strategies and activities so as to ensure team production goals and objectives are met.
Desired Skills & Experience
Minimum of ten years of production engineering experience and five years experience in stimulation. Additional experience in/exposure to completions, construction, gathering, reservoir, and/or drilling is also a plus.
Strong working knowledgeable knowledge in surface equipment design.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as this role will be required to effectively work with multiple teams/groups within the scope of problem identification/resolution.
Commitment to BBC Expectations and passionate desire for continuous improvement in these areas.
LEAN/Six Sigma experience is preferred.
Ability to satisfy US Department of Justice requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent field of study; advanced degree is preferred.
Experience in oil and liquids in a resource play model will be highly regarded. Prior experience in artificial lift design for tight gas sands and shale is a plus.
