Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Engineer will work as part of an area based team comprised of other disciplines such as Exploitation, Reservoir, Exploration and Field Operations. As a Production Engineer, you will work with members of your team to meet the production and financial targets for your pad.
This position is based in Calgary, Alberta and is eligible for:

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?
Provide daily surveillance and troubleshooting of operating SAGD wells
Identify and propose opportunities to optimize production and reduce operating costs
Evaluate, recommend and execute work overs to ensure optimal completion design
Aid in optimization of depletion strategies to maximize the value of your areas assets
Perform health checks to validate data accuracy
Identify signs of operational risk and recommend strategies to reduce risks
Involvement in researching and implementing new technology projects
Perform economic evaluations to justify capital and operational expenses
Participate in the planning of new development phases
Perform analog reviews of industry competitors using public data sources

Engineering Degree and P. Eng. eligible for registration with APEGA
Minimum of 5 years of related experience, preferably in SAGD operations
Previous exposure to operations and a solid understanding of oil facilities as well as down hole completion techniques
Familiarity with the SAGD process, oil treating, steam generation and artificial lift would be considered an asset
Class 5 driver’s license or equivalent
