Origin is continuing to invest in gas and condensate exploration and production, as well as developing and operating a world-class CSG production business, through Australia Pacific LNG. A leading producer of CSG in Queensland, with growing reserves and new gas exploration interests around Australia, we are seeking the right candidate to become part of the team that’s meeting growing demand for energy, and searching for tomorrow’s energy solutions.
This is a unique opportunity to join the Reedy Creek, Combabula & Peat Operations team based in 180 Ann Street, Brisbane.
You’ll be responsible for:
Field Strategy and Performance: Maintain and improve process to optimise and maintain field performance, promoting and driving uplift opportunities.
Gas Availability: Maintain and improve availability through managing pumping and completion systems and the operating philosophy to optimise well performance and maximise reliability.
Short Term Forecasting: Provide support to the Reservoir, Appraisal and Development Engineers producing the monthly forecast, identifying uplift opportunities, informing of operational issues and conducting well reviews.
Well Integrity: Maintaining well in conformance with well integrity standards.
Measuring performance and collaboratively work with other groups e.g. operations, water, safety, subsurface, engineering services etc. to make value added decision in integrated way.
IS THIS YOU?
You’ll need to have a strong track record of working effectively in a flat organisational structure. You must also hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
Additionally, you will need to have:
Recognised Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering (or similar relevant discipline)
Minimum 3 prears in a CSG focused Production Engineering focused role
Sound knowledge of the technical and commercial aspects of Production Engineering
Experience selecting and optimising a range of artificial lift types
Experience in monitoring large volumes of well data - to identify wells with deviations from target and that require action planning to minimise production supply losses
Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with key members of a wide range of stakeholders - proven ability to influence outcomes through negotiation
RPEQ or CPEng accreditation is advantageous but not essential.
