The Role:To ensure optimisation of production from the Client’s operated producing fields. To build and maintain appropriate well and network models. To ensure effective communication and collaboration with Operations, Subsurface and Well Engineering functions. Compliance and liaison with OGA on production and flaring consents, plus stewardship returns via the Portal. This role has the following responsibilities and outputs • Maintain WIP, Well Information Pack • Optimise oil production rates within operational constraints, including gas lift in conjunction with IAM • Identify daily constraints and production losses; using appropriate tools; Process Book & GAP - develop and implement plans to eliminate • Compile annual stewardship returns via the BEIS Portal • Track and encourage best practice on flare management • Setting daily production target and input to short term production forecasting Lead the execution of the Client's day to day modelling tasks (e.g. well simulations for allocation purposes) • Effective communication with onshore/offshore operations • Ensure accuracy of secondary allocation data with Hydrocarbon Accountant ‘Own’ the Client's IPM models for all assets (particular focus is on Prosper and GAP models): • Build and maintain appropriate models • Review / authorise all model updates • Ensure models remain accurate and fit for purpose Liaise with the Subsurface and Operations team to plan and implement reservoir surveillance activities • Provide input to the reservoir management plan • Plan and implement well testing programmes • Well intervention planning and operations Mentor staff in the use of the IPM product suite & Losses • Review and advise on appropriate modelling strategies were required • Technical assurance • Provide Prosper and GAP related internal training and Best Practice workshops • Maintain & own the Dana Loss accounting system and provide training to staff. OGA/BEIS Compliance & Liaison • Maintain working relationship with OGA/BEIS • Application and tracking for Production & flare consents • Annual stewardship return in conjunction with Reservoir EngineeringEssential Skills / Qualifications:• Qualified with a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent and ideally a Masters in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent experience) • Demonstrative experience in petroleum engineering with a focus on the practical application of nodal analysis to engineering problems and the optimisation of well and network performance. • Familiarity with production data management systems; losses, production allocation & surveillanceAbout Fircroft:Fircroft has been placing people in specialist technical industries for approaching half a century, focusing on mid to senior level engineers for contract and permanent roles worldwide.
