Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Production Engineer, based in Aberdeen.Responsibilities Include:Maintain WIP, Well Information PackOptimise oil production rates within operational constraints, including gas lift in conjunction with IAMIdentify daily constraints and production losses; using appropriate tools; Process Book & GAP - develop and implement plans to eliminate Compile annual stewardship returns via the BEIS PortalTrack and encourage best practice on flare managementSetting daily production target and input to short term production forecastingLead the execution of company day to day modelling tasks (e.g. well simulations for allocation purposes)Effective communication with onshore/offshore operationsEnsure accuracy of secondary allocation data with Hydrocarbon Accountant'Own' company IPM models for all assets (particular focus is on Prosper and GAP models):Build and maintain appropriate modelsReview / authorise all model updatesEnsure models remain accurate and fit for purposeLiaise with the Subsurface and Operations team to plan and implement reservoir surveillance activitiesProvide input to the reservoir management planPlan and implement well testing programmesWell intervention planning and operationsMentor staff in the use of the IPM product suite & LossesReview and advise on appropriate modelling strategies were requiredTechnical assuranceProvide Prosper and GAP related internal training and Best Practice workshopsMaintain & own the Loss accounting system and provide training to staff.OGA/BEIS Compliance & LiaisonMaintain working relationship with OGA/BEISApplication and tracking for Production & flare consentsAnnual stewardship return in conjunction with Reservoir EngineeringFamiliarise with the company Policies, including the policies on HSE, Risk Management and Major Hazards;Familiarise with the Management System and its meaning for day-to-day work;Familiarise with the work and be aware of all associated risks for People, the Environment, Assets and Reputation (PEAR);Report any incident, near miss, hazards (unsafe acts/situations) and improvement suggestions;Know their roles and responsibilities;Use all provided means as intended and according to their purpose.Skills and Experience:Qualified with a BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent and ideally a Masters in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent experience)Demonstrative experience in petroleum engineering with a focus on the practical application of nodal analysis to engineering problems and the optimisation of well and network performance.Familiarity with production data management systems; losses, production allocation & surveillanceContract positionIf you feel that you are well suited to the above opportunity and would like to find out more then please contact Orion Group for more information or apply by forwarding your current CV quoting reference 920786Our role in supporting diversity and inclusionAs an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
