Description

Aera is looking for an experienced and motivated Production Engineer. As a production engineer, you will be involved in the full production life cycle and will be primarily responsible for optimizing the performance of producers and injectors as well as maintaining recovery process effectiveness. The technical challenges you face will vary, depending on geographic location and field maturity.

Primary Position Roles and Responsibilities

Optimizing the performance of specific production assets.
Operating and maintaining existing wells focused on well and pattern level surveillance.
Execution of injection strategy through surveillance and optimization of injector performance.
Enabling the delivery of area production targets through surveillance and optimization of producer inflow performance.
Ensuring optimum injection/production interaction.
Providing technical support to various operations and engineering process teams.
Support and influencing a high performance, safety culture; prioritizing environmental, health and safety issues.
Supporting additional enterprise specific activities as appropriate.
Balancing day-to-day operational priorities with longer term strategic objectives.

Technical / Discipline-Specific Skills

Strong Production Engineering skillset with solid understanding of artificial lift systems.
Strong operational acumen with a solid understanding of oil field operating practices.
Working knowledge of well drilling, completion, and work over processes and techniques.
Able to prepare well completion, work over, and maintenance procedures.
Familiar with well and reservoir surveillance; able to recognize performance deficiencies and develop solutions to mitigate.

Required Experience
The successful candidate must have:

Bachelor of Science or higher engineering degree with preference given to mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or petroleum engineering graduates.
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
