Reporting to the Manager, Production, you will be responsible for generating base production and OPEX forecasts and achieving targets. You will help develop an area strategy with a multidisciplinary team focused on automation, optimization, facility consolidations, reducing well workover costs and oil and gas processing. Your previous experience demonstrates your ability to optimize the performance and reduce operating costs of a sour gas plant by pursuing innovative power generation solutions and attracting third-party gas into the facility. You will work closely with field operations and field-based optimization technologists to maximize production and ensure regulatory compliance.
To qualify for this position, you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a professional designation and a minimum of 10 years of proven Western Canada production engineering experience. You have a solid understanding of sour gas processing operations and a proven track record of developing innovative operating cost reduction solutions. Exposure to exploitation and reservoir engineering and experience with SCADA and automation will be considered assets. You have a strong knowledge of surface and subsurface operations, rod pumping systems, pump jack design and gas well and gathering system modelling.
You are proficient at economic evaluations using industry software, self-motivated and driven to produce results from yourself and the team. You have excellent communication, organization, and mentoring skills and can effectively co.rdinate resources, prioritize tasks and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
