Today Shell Australia is focused largely in the upstream sector, especially in the exploration, development and production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and oil.Job Description A Shell QGC Production Engineer has a shared responsibility to safely and efficiently delivery gas and water through a production system to end users. The production system includes a CSG reservoir, wellheads, gathering lines, compressor and processing facilities and an export line.
The Production Engineer is a valued, inline member who is part of a multi-disciplinary Production Operations team, a team that includes front line maintainers and operators through to an Area Operations Manager.
At this point in time, the successor will assess and assure designs for well workovers, will regularly monitor well integrity, well production performance and will assist in building similar competencies for field based team members. The individual will also liaise with relevant production system engineers and technicians to ensure production potentials are understood and production shortfalls are appropriately actioned. Requirements It is highly beneficial to have field based CSG production system engineering and operational experience.,
An Engineering degree preferred in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or another technical related discipline. Experience in a technical position; including Production Operations, Well Engineering, Process Engineering, Production Technology or Reservoir Engineering is an advantage but not a requirement. CSG industry experience in a similar position will be a distinct advantage.
You will need determination and ready to work in a fast moving and challenging environment. You will have outstanding skills in collaboration, negotiation, stakeholder management, communication, problem solving and influencing. You will also be capable of building effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders including staff, contractors and external suppliers.
