- Conduct well and reservoir performance reviews, and delivers optimizations recommendations and reservoir management strategy.Use different production forecasting techniques (e.g. analytical,DCA,simulation) to predict well and reservoir performance.
Conduct reservoir simulation studies at all scales and perform Preliminary economic analysis independently, leading to hydrocarbon reserves updates and booking.Gather and analyze multi-discipline data items and suggest quality checks and quality controls.Support and follow up the execution of field-wide production well-test schedule and bottom-hole pressure surveys.Provide petroleum engineering support required for daily drilling and production operations.Contribute in regular surveillance review sessions with multi-discipline teams.Coordinate with site personnel for implementing different data gathering plans.Make regular site communication and visits to ensure harmonization of surveillance culture within the organization.Coordinate with vendors to submit relevant proposals for fluid samples, down-hole gauges, multi-phase meters, tracer testing, and DTS fiber optic sensing.Coordinate with Production Technologists on all relevant surveillance matters, which include PLTs, well stimulation,water shut-off and artificial lift requirements.Coordinate with production operations and surface facility personnel for all logistical aspects of surveillance plans.Stays abreast of emerging techniques and technologies in the oil and gas exploration in order to facilitate the best possible results to the Company.Contribute to reservoir engineering input to well-pick sessions and well proposals.Contribute relevant part of exploration &development; input to the annual corporate Business Plan activities and updates.Follows all safety, fire health and environmental policies ofthe Company at all times.Coach a less experience staff as instructed by the Exploration& Development Director and Managers.Understand the hazards associated with the task involved and implement controls in consultation with supervisorsEnsure that company HSE Policies and Procedures are followed
Ensure that safety is maintained in work places.Participate in all HSE Programs as and when called for
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in petroleum engineering or any other relevant technical discipline.
Minimum Work Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Petroleum Engineering of which at least 8 years should have been spent in Reservoir Engineering role.
Sound experience in well & reservoir management of water flooded fields.
Good working experience with dynamic simulators (e.g. Eclipse, Petrel-RE, T-navigator) is advantageous.Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary and multi ethnic teams.
