Arrow explores and develops gas fields, produces and sells CSG and generates electricity.
Arrow has been safely and sustainably developing CSG since 2000 and supplying it commercially since 2004, and now delivers almost 20 per cent of Queensland’s gas supply from its five CSG fields in the Bowen and Surat basins.
With CSG exploration activities under way across Queensland, Arrow is working to meet the growing international demand for cleaner burning fuels through gas supply for liquefied natural gas export and is looking for an experienced Principal Production Technologist to join our team.
Reporting to the Reservoir Engineering & Production Technology Manager , the successful candidate will provide production technology technical expertise and assist in the integration and optimisation within our Strategy and New Business Development department. This includes well and artificial lift concepts, system modelling and well integrity management.
In addition you will:
Business/Functional integration provide well concept aspects of Asset Development Plans plus incorporation of Wells, Reservoir and Facilities surveillance in ADP updates and Gas Factory processes;
Cross-Functional scope definition - provide well concept aspects of Concept Select Report;
Identify opportunities in the short / medium term for optimisation – agreeing actions and owners and monitoring close-out;
Provide technical input, review/support and assurance of PT deliverables, for Well and Reservoir Management activities. This includes recommending artificial lift design, completions and operating conditions;
Lead evaluation of ongoing, and initiation of future, Production Technology research and development trials, including cemented completions, hydraulic fracturing, multi-lateral wells and artificial lift technologies;
Through daily review and monitoring, ensure that any Well Integrity issues are captured at early stage and ensure actions required to address Well Integrity are prioritised;
Responsible for Well Reservoir Facility Management (WRFM) short term forecast & related activity input into ST-IAP. Ensuring actual production and deferment data are used to improve future forecasts;
Monitoring and providing Production Reliability and Availability assumptions;
Responsible for the co-ordination of the Surveillance activities plan and its implementation for existing assets;
Maximise asset life cycle value; demonstrate cost performance, incremental production and reserves delivery.
To be successful in the role:
You will hold a degree in Petroleum Engineering, Engineering or Science;
Extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, in production technology well and completion conceptual design;
Proven WRFM skills including well optimisations, PCP design, reservoir management studies, well completions & interventions, well testing and nodal analysis;
Demonstrated knowledge in 2 Artificial lift systems (ESP and PCP);
Knowledge of industry standard reservoir and production engineering software;
Demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills;
CSG or Unconventional or project delivery experience would be advantageous;
Operation experience with well construction and work overs, pumped artificial lift systems (PCP & ESP Systems) would be highly regarded;
Able to develop well designs, provide completions input with limited technical support.
