Develop technology strategy and identify technology development opportunities in the field of Shale Oil and Gas recovery, drainage and production strategies
Develop business cases and models for technology commercialization that reflect its value
Perform comprehensive, structured, commercial-oriented, fit-for-purpose technology qualification in: shale oil and gas reservoir technologies, mainly focusing in production operations, stimulation and enhanced oil recovery for shale oil and gas resources
Design and develop enhanced production technologies for ultra-tight reservoirs
Work independently while contributing in cross-disciplinary/cross-functional teams
Engage in active stakeholder management
Develop and manage projects in compliance with technology management process. Provide periodic technology development updates to management
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with external research collaborators (universities, national labs, vendors, etc.)
Influence process optimization and modification using technology development
Apply and ensure compliance with Equinor’s management system and safety standards
Previous experience with technology development and field qualification of enhanced oil recovery processes for shale oil and gas is an asset
Competent in using wellbore modeling, multi-phase flow, computational fluid dynamics, artificial lift design and stimulation design software. In addition, expertise using data-driven and analytical tools for production forecasting are an asset
Experience in production operations and flow assurance (surface and subsurface equipment and tool selection)
Experience in developing and managing technology implementation projects
Broad perspective of environmental challenges in the shale business
Strong interest in solving challenging problems in shale operations in a low-cost environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to live by "I am safety" expectations
Proven track-record delivering projects with safety as a top priority
Commercial mindset with an ability and interest in developing projects with strong business cases for CAPEX and OPEX reduction
Entrepreneurial attitude to undertake complex tasks that require cross-disciplinary/cross-functional integration
Open mind with an ability to transfer skillsets and experience towards multiple business sensitive projects
Analytical and strategic thinking
The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal communication and knowledge sharing skills combined with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
To succeed in this position, it is critical that you enjoy working with other technical specialists through the value chain
To enjoy working in this position you will need to be comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams and as an extended team member on varied short and long term projects
