Joining a regional team and reporting to a Regional Manager, the successful candidate will provide geological and/or geophysical interpretations, research and training for oil and gas companies related to oil and gas exploration, working within a team. Key initial focus on development of Robertson’s predictive capabilities for both source rocks and reservoirs, including Earth Systems modelling.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate and contribute to projects using a range of techniques and processes relating to a particular specialism. To independently and accurately generate and interpret data and prepare professional reports.
The successful candidate will work on multi-disciplinary projects integrating data from a range of technical disciplines as well as take the lead on integrating and presenting of wider CGG products and services. Business development and proposal generation is also part of the role both technically and financially.
Proactively staying up to date with technological advances and industry trends in the field of petroleum geoscience is a major part of the role to ensure best services and solutions are offered to clients.
As a senior member of the team, you will be expected to provide technical leadership and mentoring to more junior members of staff, sharing knowledge and providing technical advice to both your wider team and management. Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be educated to degree level with an additional MSc or PhD in Petroleum Geology or Geoscience with demonstrable and proven senior experience of working in an oil company / oil consultancy.
Experience in writing technical reports is essential with knowledge of palaeogeographic mapping and Earth Systems modelling being an advantage.
