The CSS group in GSS provides support and services to projects in EXP.
There is a need to strengthen the reservoir quality/petrology group with an explorationist/petrologist with broad theoretical geology knowledge and practical experience. Type of work includes:
Support and give input to reservoir quality predictions to access projects
Perform post-well reservoir quality studies (core/cuttings samples, thin sections, microscopy work)
Involved in Regional reservoir quality studies
Involved in Provenance studies
Support and give input to understand reservoir distribution and depositional environment to identify exploration/production sweetspots
Integration of reservoir quality studies with other key disciplines within Reservoir systems, PSA, Trap & Seal, geophysical analysis, and petrophysics.
5+ years’ experience in working with geological and/or geophysical data.
The ideal candidate has experience with describing reservoir quality/ petrology work/petrophysics
A relevant master’s degree, a strong motivation to learn petrology and/or relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications
A strong team player with a “hands-on” attitude
Dedication and endurance in handling different tasks
Ability to motivate others and create ownership to ongoing processes
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good oral and written presentation skills
Demonstrate integrity and high ethical standard
Ability to live by “I am safety” expectations
