This role reports to the VP New Access:
Ability to put together a reserve report for field development
Ability to put together reservoir evaluation and logging plan for initial test wells
Proven and rapid capabilities in petroleum economic and reserve software (Aries and/or PHDwin) with strong attention to detail and documentation of work products
Ability to gather and integrate commercial assumptions into economic and reserve estimates including coordination with the F&C; team
Proficiency in understanding field operating statements and summarization into commercial assumptions
Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, spotfire and production data services (IHS, Drilling info etc.)
Working knowledge of current engineering analytical methods and horizontal completion technology
Strong understanding of exploration risk and probabilistic analysis
Commercial and economic mindset with focus on spending time directed towards value adding projects
Demonstrated ability to understand and develop shale resource and tight oil and gas plays
Minimum 4 year college degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
Minimum 10+ years overall experience with significant onshore unconventional experience
Ability to live by "I am safety" expectations
Commitment to Statoil ethics and health and safety standards
Ability to work within, build and foster a collaborative team environment
Ability to influence decisions in a cooperative and constructive manner
Demonstrates desire to share knowledge and build consensus around ideas
Proven ability to be courageous, innovative and to champion new ideas

Ability to coach, mentor and provide guidance to more junior geoscientists and technicians
