This is a position in Global Unconventional Reservoir Management team. Serve as a technical resource supporting Equinor’s Onshore Assets. Willison Basin, Eagle Ford or Appalachian basin experience is preferred.
Conduct reservoir engineering evaluations on selected properties to evaluate their potential, predict reservoir performance, evaluate completion strategies, optimize future depletion and development plans.
The main work tasks will be:
Analyze reservoir data, decline curve analysis, static and flowing material balance calculations, rate transient analysis and volumetric estimationsAnalyze geological information and integrate peers and public data to assist field development, A&D; activities, and booking reserves and resourcesPlay an active role in Business Planning, Long Range Plan and evaluating AFEs for operated and non-operated assetsFocus on production optimization and reservoir surveillanceContribute to data acquisition program and pilots to improve existing well productivityPerform lookback on capital projects and incorporating findingsIdentify and quantify key subsurface uncertainties that impact the project or well economicsCollaborate with other disciplines such as Exploration, Data Science, Research Technology and Drilling Completion team
QualificationsBachelor or Master’s Degree in a Petroleum Engineering discipline15+ years of industry experienceAt least 7+ years of experience in Unconventional Reservoirs in the United StatesKnowledgeable in annual Business Planning process, field development strategy, and Capital Value Process for Unconventional ReservoirsKnowledge and ability to work with IHS Harmony or KAPPA, ARIES, and SpotfireProficient in Integrated Production/Field Modeling (Petex IPM/IFM)Strong technical and economic evaluation skillsMentoring junior staffAbility to effectively use well data and production databases (IHS, RS Energy, and Drilling Info)Some travel and field visitsOffice based in Austin, TXRelevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
