ContractPrincipal Consultant Reservoir Engineering JD

Purpose of the Role
Provide technical support in Petroleum and Reservoir engineering matters for the evaluation of offshore and onshore oil and gas fields and projects including new and mature fields.

Key Accountabilities:
Support the origination process and preparation of technical proposals.Provide reservoir and petroleum interpretations.Support data acquisitionParticipate in integrated field reviewsProvide technical support for preparation of reservoir engineering data & interpretation in field development plans.Support the subsurface network Core Competencies Strong skill sets:
o Petex programs: Prosper, Mbal, GAP, and Material Balance calculations, etc
o Shapir, Eclipse, Petrel, tNavigator, CMG, etc.
Reservoir simulation modeling:
o o Fractured reservoirs, Saturation height functions, Flow units, Upscaling, etc o Compositional modeling and EOR
Reserves & Resources estimations and PRMSWindows-based applications excel, words, power point.Ability to prepare and present written technical reports and presentations Experience - broad reservoir engineering competencies:
o Field Development Planning and Integrated Reservoir study workflows (e.g. geological models, SCAL & PVT analysis, EOS modeling volatile oils, well test design & interpretation, petrophysical analysis, cased hole logging, geo-mechanics)
Inflow Performance Relationship well productivity, nodal analysis, artificial lift analysis, network analysisWell site experience (drilling & production)Recovery factor uncertainty assessmentExperience in Due diligence and M&A; studies, Reserves reporting / CPR's KnowledgeExposure to diverse datasets and in different reservoir types & fluids.Exposure to wells logs, well test design and interpretation, material balance, well performance review, production forecast by decline curve analysis, principles of water and gas injection, material balance and integrated asset modeling; desirable experience building static and reservoir simulation models.Exposure to Economic commercial assessmentsWorking knowledge of petroleum geologyStrong understanding of field development processing and facilities equipment.Exposure to working in operating teams and study teams.Study manager, or, leading and working on a project within a multi-disciplinary technical team (Subsurface / Surface)

Qualification & Training:
Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, or related engineering degree with acquired petroleum/reservoir engineering knowledge acquired from hands-on work in an operational oil company, service, or consulting company.A postgraduate degree in Petroleum Engineering is desirable12 + years relevant experience in Reservoir EngineeringWorking Relationship Internal Field Development groups, Facilities, Subsea, naval and Economics; Operations offices in the UK and other locations.
