An opportunity is available to join a leading international oil and gas operating company in the role of Petrophysicist based in the company's office in Wellington, New Zealand.
The Petrophysicist is responsible for implementation, management and quality checking approved Development and Reservoir Engineering petrophysical activities. The Petrophysicist will process and interpret all relevant petrophysical data and provide input to static and dynamic modelling.
Integrate key petrophysical data into static and dynamic models of operated and non-operated hydrocarbon accumulations.
Undertake petrophysical projects as required. Likely activities may include, but are not limited to; planning, supervising and analysing cased and open hole logging programs.
Generate documentation for all technical work completed.
Assist in the maintenance of technical data bases.
Present petrophysical results and interpretations for technical assurance at internal peer reviews and at Technical Committee Meetings (TCMs) with Joint Venture (JV) partners.
Tertiary qualification in geoscience, engineering or physics.
Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience as a Petrophysicist with an oil and gas operator in a multi-disciplinary team.
Experienced in cased hole log interpretation, including PLT and RST.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt in a dynamic and changing work environment.
The role will be offered on a 2 year fixed term basis.
