PetrophysicistThis is an exceptional opportunity to work with a nationwide Oil & Gas company at their base in Houston, TX.We will be conducting in-person interviews in the upcoming week.Job Description:Pay rate: $70/hourPosition may extend through all of 2020, but for now it is until the end of Q1.Looking for candidates located in Houston who can work in Houston or located in Oklahoma City to work in Oklahoma City. If in Houston, they would be required to work in Oklahoma for the first two weeks of the assignment. all travel expenses would be reimbursed.Searching for a senior level Petrophysicist to perform work either in Oklahoma City, OK or Houston with initial 2 weeks in OKC. Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, or physics.***Preferred:Master's degree or PhD.• A minimum of 8 years related experience in petrophysics. Technical publications are strongly valued and in-depth practical experience is paramount.• Experience with integrated petrophysical studies and petrophysical modeling.• Must know how to use the software Interactive Petrophysics (IP)Core functions:• Conduct comprehensive petrophysical studies and analyses by integrating logging tool responses, rock, fluid and production data for formation evaluation and reservoir surveillance.• Evaluate mineralogy and determine lithology through log modeling and analysis• Design and oversee core and fluid studies to enhance petrophysical models.• Develop verifiable petrophysical models for incorporation into static and dynamic reservoir models for volumetric prediction and development planning.
