Working in a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists, drillers, landmen and reservoir and completions engineers, you will provide ongoing unconventional resource petrophysical expertise to allow the team to establish and execute a top quartile integrated plan of development. The role encompasses a compelling blend of operational delivery, reservoir description, performance improvement, and technology initiatives. This offers the ability to leverage one’s core skills in a particular area, while at the same time growing professionally in other areas. The Petrophysicist is expected to work across disciplines to execute the petrophysical program and help deliver the overall development plan. There is also opportunity participate in other exciting work initiatives across the asset, interfacing with other subsurface staff.
Provide overall petrophysical support the asset teamProvide petrophysical input on static model buildsProvide operational and planning input on cased and open hole programsReal time monitoring of both cased hole and open hole data acquisition programs to assure data quality and resolution of data acquisition issuesQuality check vendor invoices from drilling and core analysis activitiesLead ongoing and new core studiesHelp facilitate decisions and strategies on core acquisitionProvide all needed inputs for reserves documentationSupport Base Management and Reservoir Management teams in completion decisions
BS in Engineering or Geoscience; MS in same would be advantageous.

5+ years’ experience with a focus on the petrophysical related activities described above.Proven high performance working in a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced environment.Proven forward looking thinker who actively seeks opportunities and innovative solutions.

Desirable criteria & qualifications
Familiarity with quantitative interpretation methods and best practices would be a benefitStrong written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of Techlog or similar Petrophysical softwareFamiliarity with real-time monitoring of logging operations (logistics, IT requirements, etc.)Experience in unconventional reservoirs, particularly the Eagleford is desirableIndustry knowledge of latest tools and technologies being appliedSelf-motivated individual that can manage multiple demands on time and prioritize accordingly.
